Points of Comparison between La Loma and other Training Venues

Total Cost

When comparing total cost between La Loma and other training venues, please remember to factor in training expenses, local transportation expenses and a buffet style cafeteria.

Training Expenses

La Loma is an all inclusive training facility, so you never have to pay "per lane per hour". Each swimmer, staff member and/or chaperone has unlimited access to all the facilities in La Loma. The La Loma staff will do their best to make sure that your requested training times are fulfilled. We take pride in the fact that we have never had more than 6 swimmers per lane long course, or 3 swimmers per lane short course meters with any of the teams that have visited.

Local Transportation Expenses

The La Loma dorms are located approximately 1 block from the training facility. Because of the fact that the entire La Loma facility (dorms included) are patrolled by security 24 hours per day, the athletes are able to walk to the club and back to the dorms on their own. This means that it is not necessary to rent a van, which usually includes additional expenses of gasoline, insurance, etc..

Buffet Style Cafeteria

Because La Loma is an "all you can eat" setup, you don't have to worry about daily food bills. The athletes can eat as much as they need to eat, and there is no extra expense.

Things to do

La Loma has the unique quality of being all-inclusive while having many cultural and shopping opportunities nearby. Many of our teams take advantage of half-day trips to our local market and beautiful downtown area. Movie nights and shopping at the mall are also big favorites. Most teams are able to fit in the day trip to nearby San Miguel de Allende. No matter what, your team is sure to enjoy some bonding time out of the water in this beautiful, friendly part of the world!.

"We had the most amazing training trip to La Loma, the facilities were world class, the people were warm and friendly, and the staff and athletes set a great example for me as a coach and the kids as swimmers. It's an unforgettable experience, and we look forward to our next opportunity to visit San Luis Potosi."

-Brad Bridgewater - Irving Sharks

"La Loma provided us with a truly excellent training opportunity. The pools, the dining facilities, and the dormitories were excellent. Best of all, the hospitality and the extra effort that the La Loma staff extended on a daily basis made the visit especially memorable. Our swimmers had a great training camp and were unanimous in their opinion that they'd like to return to La Loma in the future."

-John Ryan - Trinity University

"This was the greatest training camp I've ever been on! Everything here has been top class!"

-Nicklas Svensson - Sodertalje
